1962 Jaguar XK-E Series I OTS 3.8 Liter
Ca 30.000 original km, matching numbers &colours
Series I OTS. Two owners from new. California car with Heritage Certificate.The last family purchased this E-Type from a gentleman in Palo alto in 1978 and it still retains its original CA plates. It was sold new as a Foreign Delivery, which we believe was a US service person. Because of this European delivery the odometer speedo is in kilometers. It is Numbers Matching. Very original car with one respray in original color of Carmen Red. Upholstery and top was done at time of paint in the 1980s.The five-digit odometer shows 30k kilometers , approximately 3k kilometers of which were added under the last ownership, and true mileage is unknown. We have the car serviced on several points and our mechanic states that can be seen that this is a low milage car.
We spoke with the son Brian ( 64 years old now) of the last owner and he remembers that his father bought the car .He told us that the car underwent a bare metal respray and that the seats were reupholstered and the soft top was renewed. He confirmed the low milage of the car and told us that the car was hardly driven by his parents. This also due to the fact that they had a collection of ca 300 cars.
This very original OTS started its live in Europe and was taken in California by its first owner. In 1978 it came in the collection of cars of the second owner and was hardly driven but well maintained, the owners wife wrote every detail of maintenance in a kind of logbook
This car is real timewarp and drives more or less like new . We had it serviced and it will be registrerd in the Netherlands .It comes with the rare factory hardtop and it benefits from the upgrades done by the factory like footwells.
